Along with sustenance, shelter is one of our key requirements when it comes to basic survival. It was perhaps something of an inevitability then that survival games would evolve to the point where base-building has become standard.
Subnautica was far from the first to implement it, but it is definitely one of the more unique examples owing to its underwater setting. There are few restrictions when it comes to designing the size and shape of your base , although, generally speaking, the sky is usually the limit. Those looking for more of an interior design experience might be left wanting by what the game has to offer.
If your aim is to build something that looks cool and is fun to explore though, Subnautica definitely has you covered. What could be better than designing your dream home? Well, how about doing so on a Caribbean Island, perhaps? If that sounds like something that you'd enjoy then Home Design: Caribbean Life is definitely worth a look - even if it's just a momentary glance.
The game's UI is incredibly intuitive and everything looks fantastic. The wide range of furniture and customization options allows for some incredible designs that would make even the odd millionaire a little envious.
The beautiful scenery only adds to the game's fantastic visuals which are incredibly impressive for a mobile game. The Harvest Moon series has always excelled when it comes to its customization options. Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is no different in this regard. The recent Switch remake looks fantastic and allows players to not only decorate their homes, but also the areas surrounding them. Sadly, there aren't quite as many items of furniture available nor does the game receive seasonal updates like the AC titles but it's a great game nonetheless. Staxel looks and plays like the love-child of Minecraft and Stardew Valley and although it doesn't quite measure up to either of the aforementioned titles, there's still a lot to love here.
The vibrant color palette found throughout the game makes for some stunning visuals and there are plenty of craftable items with which homes can be built and decorated. Some might be put off by the title's complete lack of narrative, but those looking for a game that allows them to unleash their creativity without the distractions that go hand in hand with traditional story modes should have a lot of fun with Staxel. It's a game that's easy to get lost in and one that will help you to find plenty of inspiration thanks to its simplicity.

Gone are the days in which players were limited to basic box-like structures with all manner of designs now available right at the players' fingertips. Perhaps what makes base-building so enjoyable in the game is that your creations need to be functional rather than just aesthetically pleasing. Well, they do if you want them to survive for longer than a few days, that is.
Interiors still need a bit of work, perhaps, but with fairly regular updates still rolling in, things can only get better in this regard. Support said to clear out out 3 GB of memory for it to run, is that what others have done cause it seems a lot??? Updating the app didn't help either more. See all 2 reviews.
Jan 9, By Samantha Currier. Use to be 5 stars, was my favorite game ever. But the game started having connection issues all the time and has continued to have them. I have tried different devices and different ways of connecting to the internet, which was no help. I use to play all the time but because of the issues I hardly ever play now It's frustrating and just a waste, when you buy stuff to finish a design, you don't end up being able to submit cause of constant crashing for no connection.
Jan 6, By Leasa Hogan. I have played this game religiously, since It used to be so much fun. Now, it seems my scores from ppl voting my designs low, have gotten ridiculous, I don't think ppl really vote, they just tap thru.
Challenges that pay off, require items that cost so much, you can't enter without buying diamonds. I'm completely dissapointed how this game has gone from fun, to too expensive to even play and have fun anymore.
And I have spent a lot of money on this game thru the years By Miss X. Scoring on your designs sucks big time, it's like it's rigged, they need a better system for scoring.. Sometimes some of your items mysteriously disappear Customer service overwhelmed, but when they get to you they are very nice and helpful! They get a 5 score. By C Santiago-Crocker. Nothing much has really changed. Nothing new or exciting. Everything seems the same.
In my homes challenges you get to design 12 different style homes and thats it. Nothing new added, all you can do is redesign them. I'm all set with that. I've almost uninstall but still waiting for something new and exciting. I definitely don't play as much as I use to. And Ive also stop buying furniture pieces. See all 1 reviews. Sign Up. New update is horrible! Display is terrible and the game is very laggy. I used to enjoy it, but now really could care less if play it. By Juanita Melvin. I feel the voting is way off the grid. It seems they rather vote for a design that is colorless than a design that has personality.
I'm not enjoying this game, at all Dec 31, By Vampy Anji. If it were for the beautiful designs, I'd offer a 5 star. This game went from fun and rewarding to greedy and repetitious. They often recycle the same designs, it's quite obvious the voting is sketchy, and they stopped giving special prices.
Challenges are limited to items that are mostly gold, some have required stars to unlock them in order to play, and a purchase of 10 uses has been resorted to 5. Win-win for them, not so much for consumers. I'm about to tap out. By Tammy. Been playing since February I purchase the season pass. I stayed quiet as the prizes and wins lowered. Not anymore. We all pay the same amount to take part in the season pass.
I am learning that for December, they have a group of people required to earn twice as many XP to level up even though we have all paid the same amount. It is disturbing that they believe this is ok. With the amount I have been playing prior to finding this out, would be done with the season!! Community SCAM Gambling with no reward Dec 2, By Carol Wright.
Very expensive to play It adds up!!! Game is from Israel Somebody is making a ton of? Community Metal finishes and the reveal Nov 20, By Brenda Outlaw. I'm new to this game. You must have read this many times. Selected metal finishes appear black on the screen. This makes it very difficult in deciding if you made the right decision. Once you submit your final design you are embarrassed by the final result.
More than not. I wish to know how to get around this stumbling block. When I select copper I want to see copper. Not black. Community Do Not Play this game.
Oct 1, By Sarah Shafter. I enjoyed the game. However, the app crashed and after contacting support I received a bs auto reply. After researching, I found this has been happening to people for 6 weeks or longer. I've spent money on items and can't play the game. Almost like extortion. Community Cant play if you dont pay Sep 2, By Emily Ferraro. If you dont want to pay the game to play you wont have enough fake money to play. This game use to be very kind and give a lot of opportunity so a non payer could play all the "rooms" to design but they updated their game and now its horrible for people who dont pay.
I loved this game. It's very simple and cute but if you dont pay them you dont play. It's not worth it anymore to play the game. Updates suck. But suggestion Jan 10, By usnamerwastaken. I think a great feature would be to set aside space for people waiting on the challenges to end where they can freely decorate with the items they currently have. Not to be submitted to a challenge, but just so you can kill time and continue designing while you wait for the challenges!
I know I can Google them separately, but I think being able to freely practice it would help me comprehend them a lot more! Jan 10, By Pamela Haines. One of the first decorating game that is literally all about making a room look good. The room is already covered in furniture and accessories, but it is a blank slate of color and textures.
A very relaxing and fun game. Nice thing is if you are patient you don't need money to get the decor that's not freely given. You earn money and coin in the game. Amazing game. Keep up the great work. Great app…and a suggestion or two.
Sep 25, By Morazzle. I love this app! I agree with what I read in all the other reviews. You get to design, design, design! No silly games in between. Absolutely wonderful! Now the comments. But it does not appear that the voting takes this into account at all. Also, Many times when the client has picked certain items, the only ones open to me cost more gold coins than I have or could not ever match the other materials I have available.
Can you unlock more of the client picks just for that design, then have them locked again later. Or make it so the client picks are in a separate group that is unlocked just for that challenge and may or may not be available in the regular store?
Then newbies and all can start on a level playing field even though long time players have more regular things unlocked. Get this app Dec 18, By ashenege. Redecor is a beautifully designed app. Looks lifelike often. I am obsessed with this game. The only downside is waiting for rooms to decorate and people having much different taste than you doing the judging.
I really think there should be a chance to purchase things from previous seasons before I got the app. Maybe like for Christmas gifts? Also when I only have one or two items left to unlock its bogus that it costs the same as unlocking three.
There should be a different system here. It feels like a rip off. I love this app.. Dec 27, By Angelcat I found Redecor by accident and loved the idea immediately. Redecor is fun, easy and yeah But, you can play and do well without spending money which in this hellish year is really necessary for a lot of folks.
But the Redecor people seem to really care about the game and their players Seeing what other people create with similar materials Thank you for this wonderful game! Fun Exciting Interesting Challenging Jan 25, By WhiskeyJacq. It's fun trying to meet requirements and challenges and be creative when you have limited resources compared to other players.
I love to dabble in design, interior, garden, graphic, etc and this is a fun way to express that side of me. One thing Imwoukd like to see changed. When you an item you usually get 5 at a time. If it is an item I own and I choose it, it automatically deducts the item from my inventory. However, I may decide not to use it. Please make it so we can deselect it or to not take it out of inventory until we complete the design.
Sometimes an item looks different in shade or color once applied to a design. Not being able to change to another item without losing your already purchased item is disappointing. Sometimes there just isn't the right shade or hue if blue or green that perfectly compliments the rest of a design and you have to start over with your plan.
Thank you for an amazing app. I look forward to more challenges and more choices for colors. Great Game! Few suggestions Feb 4, I love this game so much, there is such a variety of styles to choose from. The old one with the side by side comparison was muuuch better.
Good game but in game purchases are too expensive Feb 6, By TheNameIsCarlos. Unlike many other design games, Redecor is also easily navigable and very polished looking. One of my top 5 apps on my phone. See all 3 reviews. Jan 12, By Lisa Kingsley. I really like this app, but I wish there were more quick challenges. Sometimes you have to wait a long time for results. You used to be able to click on and see the whole design, but now you can only see the top half of it.
By Tina Nicolosi. Why have the viewing photos changed to pictures so small you cannot see the whole design???!! This used to be a fun game! And if there is a tie for 1st 5 awards should go to both!! It'd be better if more options were available especially client picks ,items should be available for all to use, takes real cash! By Kelly W. I've been playing for many months but its getting stranger all the time. Reducing the uses from 10 to five.
Scrambling the inventory on the page of owned products is just unnecessarily annoying. I still would like a "warehouse" to put inventory items in that are never going to be used to get them off our main inventory page. Accessible but out of sight, like all of the retro items. The season pass is still the best value. Decorating in bland colors is all that wins now, not the challenges. Jan 8, By Heather. Not great! It's just becoming an endless money pit. Still fun and relaxing but becoming a disappointment, disappointing more so Jan 2, By Puzzler The rewards for leveling up have dropped since I first started playing, only a few months ago.
The season pass rewards are very disappointing. The prices for the gold item is frustrating, as they are typically higher but you receive less gold so harder to get these items. Example sometimes when doing walls there are different options then others. Update: the seasons pass has become worse value for the money. While I find this app very relaxing and fun, seriously considering not purchasing the seasons pass in January I complete all the designs each month, except design duels.
Helps take mind off things lockdown Similar to Redecor - Home Design Game. Free In App Purchases. By Idalia Sanchez. I love this game, I like how you get to create what you want but make it like the customer said but other than that it's good, but it's my opinion on it.
By Jacob Pietsch. Its really a fun game when you get in to it!! I dont really see alot of ad's. Dec 25, By Renee Montano. Super Fun. I love the word play, so much better than the 3 match puzzles. I enjoy it more anyway.
