Recently it broke so I decided to upgrade to this unit. I must say I am rather disappointed and not as happy with it. First, it goes through batteries much faster than the The second thing is it is almost impossible to get the battery out once it has died. I usually have to ask my husband to do it and he uses a knife. We are both afraid it will break. So, if I was going to order it again, I would stick with the much less expensive and better unit, LG Had knee surgery and was in pain while healing.
Being older, you don't heal like you were 20 years old. Daily use totally eliminated a majority of the discomfort where I didn't even have to take Aleve. If there is any drawback, it makes you feel so good you forget you're still healing and get carried away trying to do things you should be waiting to do until totally healed. The shipping to my address in Canada was quick. I have chronic pain and the TENS is a bjg help. I tried the TENS about 45 years ago in my neuroesurgeons office and it didn't help at all.
Of course a lot of time has passed and improvements made and I am so grateful for this machine. The TENS does make living more bearable.

Recovering from a torn ACL and this unit is strong enough to contract the Quad allowing me to flex the muscle and retrain it, much like the Russian stim at PT. I wish I had this unit from day 1 after my surgery for a broken collarbone. I think the biggest benefit I have gotten is that, when I use this unit, I do not stiffen up as much or have nearly as much pain after my exercises. BTW I am a 60 year old white male in fairly good shape. Do your self a favor, but this unit. I have RA and fibromyalgia and have degenerative disks in the C5 and C6 area of my spine. The thing that helped the most with my pain was when they used a tens unit on my upper neck and back area. I purchased this unit so I could do this myself, when and where I wanted to. The unit works beautifully and it a most effective pain reliever. At first I was dubious about the strength of a battery powered unit but it feels and works just like the expensive professional unit used at my Physical Therapy office.
I do wish that the instruction booklet was a little more clear. As others have said it is rather confusing and lacks some information, like where to put the electrodes. I referred to articles and videos on the internet for electrode placement. I do like the fact that it has an AC adapter which is great for saving money on batteries.
I do wish it had longer lead wires though. It is difficult for me to place the electrodes on my upper back area and longer lead wires would help. Overall though it is and excellent unit and a great value and pays for itself and works great! I have used it on my neck and back and sometimes cover it with a flax seed Mother Earth pillow that I heat in the microwave for better results. It relieves the pain and the pain stays away longer.

I was confused on some of the use instructions since I never used one before and clarfaction on some of the accessories so sent an email to the service dept. Since I did not want to use the unit without clarification I returned the unit after receiving permission but have been unable to find out why I have not received a credit four days after it was received by LG. We both had been sent to physical therapy to help rehabilitate the areas of concern.
In the treatment at physical therapy, we both had the therapist use a TENS unit on us to help with inflamation and pain control associated with the therapy.

They stick, but they feel like they may not last a long time. I felt better that I had plenty of extras. I still have to do the exercises that physical therapy showed me. I paid just for a tens unit last year. Not too shabby. This small more portable unit actually works better and has more settings then the over prices RS MEdical Unit that broke twice since I got it, and I didn't even use it that much because it was so big and bulky.
I love the fact I can clip this one on my pants and go about my business like it isn't even there. And I am sure they would have ripped me off on the repair costs too, so that one is going to the recycle bin at the dump. The only downside to this unit is it isn't rechargeable like the RS Medical unit, but the upside to that is if the battery gets low, you can stick in a new one as opposed to waiting and waiting for the unit to recharge so you can use it again.
SO even though I'll have to buy batteries now, the benefit works itself out, I'll just get some rechargeable 9 volt batteries or make sure I have new ones on hand.
